If you find one that cheap it is going to be a real project boat.

Good luck in your search.

I bought my XTB for $4,000 with no power and I have since seen them go for less with a motor in our area. As an all around good boat, I would take it over a 02 for sure, unless I was racing.

Thanks the one in Alabama is getting close to what I'm looking for. But if u pay 8 k u can spend a little more and get a sweet 03 with extra stuff. I'd give 6,500 for the one in Alabama.

Good luck in your search, Mike. As previously said, you're gong to have a hard time finding anything other than a fixer-upper in the price range you're looking in. Allison boats just don't depreciate like that. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I'd hardly let that stop me. I drove from Georgia to Amelia Louisana to get mine. A long day of driving and a couple of tanks of fuel is all it took. Plus I got to sample some really good low country cooking!! Also, I got a taste of just how weird the folks talk down there! haha

I say its worth the drive. And if you are gonna spend $9,000 on a boat, whats another $150 in fuel? I drove to Nebraska twice to pick up equipment for the farm. Cheaper than having it delivered, and I had a really good time on the trip.

Throw a buddy or a woman in the truck with ya and haul!

I agree Chester when you want something you get in your truck and go get it, this to far of a drive is for somebody who isn't going to get what they want..

I have looked at a couple of Allison's over the last few years. The burgundy and sandstone is a super buy. If I didn't have six or seven sitting here I would be very interested. Can't beat the little 200 efi for an all around motor. Should run mid 90's.

There is an XTB 21 on ebay right now in Hialeah, Fla. if I had someone down there to look at it and verify condition I would drive the 1700 miles to get it....and I don't need it. Moral of the story, as stated previously, they don't make them anymore so if you want one don't piss around over a few miles.
