Larry my XR is a 540 lb hull. Should come in around 1250-1270 with a 200 lb driver. You can put your powerhead on mine and I'll even let you drive it
maybe if you come down for the springbling. we could drop it on and you can see how fast she will go. later Larry D

I'd love to but it'll be a while before I have it back together. Its been over at Larry Boyd's in Fort Worth for the last 3 weeks getting the bottom done. When I get it back I have to completely rig the boat including putting my steering in it. I'd love to see what it would do with a good prostock motor. If it ran close to Jeff's boat I'd be ecstatic

just got in from the lake went to try a 32 e.t. that leading edge propeller has been working for me. he cut a little of the trailing edge off of it. its his on cut he came up with he calls it his drag cut it really makes a big difference on aceleration on the big pitch wheels.anyway 1.87 sportmaster and this prop with the same 200 carb motor it went 112.2 from a 110.5 that was at7200 best a could keep my eye on the tach. this little motor sure is fun to play with. thanks tim[gambler2] for being out there for a spoter. ihave a 200 efi i'm going to be playing with a little later on .jeff
Hey Jeff. You still running your sportmaster with the 200. Those are killer numbers.

Sounds like Rich got that new prop tuned up right. Picked up almost 2 mph and even dropped some R's.

For a motor that starts getting fat at 6750 + or - , What size of wheel and gears must be used to run 106 ????? weight , around 1500 ??? stock 20 in mid

I agree on the limiter. My 99 200 would pull hard all the way to 6800. I've also heard some early analog boxs weren't limited with extra fuel

I agree on the GPS glitches. Last year at the fastpass rally, we nailed it on the way to the beach. When we got their I picked up the garmin and it showed a max speed of over 200mph. (can't remember the exact mph)
At the same time, John's in dash gps freeked out and broke the needle off. :confused

GPS ain't perfect.
Yes it did, I also think the same day another boats GPS read in the 400's. I called Livorsi and was told by the service dept. That was the first one he has ever had the needle to break off, So I'm not sure if he believed me. I sent it off yesterday, So I might need you as a witness Marty.

Yeah I can see 6800 on a lite boat ! BUT as the weight goes up as we all know what happens . the 220 lazer 2.4 was the ones not limited .Like in 1986 - 87 . I just cant see a BOX STOCK 1994 EFI with the only thing done is an XR 6 gearcase with cone , at least 1500 lbs running 106 . That's as fast as any 225 Pro Max I've ever seen around !!!!!!!

The small case is worth 3-5 mph? Some people have told me to give up on the small gearcases as the coned 200 case is just as fast. I've broken 3 over 17 years I've owned my XR4. I think it must be faster or no racer would bother, but how much faster on a 80-90 mph boat?

By the way, I want to believe he went 106.

Hard to say if he did or will again, on scream and fly he said the case exploded and lost the prop trying to reproduce the pass
