You have my attention Neal. I was thinking along those lines, but some pointers will save me a lot of wasted time... Our water temps have dropped. The creeks are 66* and river temps are low 70s. The shad are everywhere, and the bite is on. White bass ae running, and the striper too. I'm going to try this for crappie too with Some small road runners.
That doesnt take as much skill.... The large mouth are a little tougher here...
I was throwing a 3 arm rig with swimming 3" shad. No jigs, just hooks. I was thinking about less weight I could retrieve it slower...... It wasn't great, the shad had to be perfect to get them to swim perfect.. A lot easy with jigs.
Any advice is appreciated....
