Classes for Prop Testing

1. All 20 ft. or less boats with up to 225 hp

2. All 20 ft or less boats with 240 to 300 hp.

3. All 21 or larger boats with 225 to 300 hp.

4. Modified class is everything that doesn't fit above no limits

There may need to be some fine tuning done to these classes. This can be done at Rally time. With the information I have on people attending I will put you in the class I think you belong in. In the past I have printed up sheets with all the classes and names so that all the timer has to do is plug in the time. Look over these classes and let me know what class you think you should be in. If I don

John, I can see why you may be confused, but if your boat doesn't fit in the first 4 classes you probably fit in 5.

Since we need more than 1 boat to make a class I'm going to trim the classes to 4 or maybe 3. I originally thought there was going to be a 150 and a 175 hp coming. The 150 is now a 225 so like last year we will have class 1 will be 225 or less. For right now I'm not sure about Class 2 it may only be me unless there is another 240 to 280 HP 20 footer coming. Lou are you planning on bringing your XB2003 or your GS2003. If not we will have 3 classes and I'll run in the open class. Since Lars went to a 21 and Lou doesn't usually run any of his 280s that class is drying up. I am going to do an update of the classes.

Hey maybe you can plan on getting down to one of the Rally's in the future. You don't necessarily have to bring a boat. Just come and hitch a ride.

I'm thinking Thurs morning for holeshot testing classes 1, 2, 3, and Friday for Class 4 and all the photo runs which can be done with a GPS if you want to document your speed.

I plan on bringing a camcorder and by then, maybe I'll know how to upload them to the net. Kieth and I were talking how neat it would be to video the boats running and with the windshield on his side there is very little wind.

Sounds good everybody. A few things I still need is a couple of guys to trade off on taking some digital pictures and a couple of timers for Thurs. and Fri. In the past John's boys have done that job but I'm not sure if there coming this year. I know one of them has found out what girls are all about and she may not give him a pass away from her for that long. We are getting some rain finally. I just hope it's enough to fill the lakes up. I wouldn't be surprised if Clear Lake makes it to the top.

Class one is interesting…

Class 1. 225 HP or less
1. Aaron GS2003/225
2. Neil XB2003/200XS------------------------------------------10.06
3. George XB2003/225----------------------------14.20-------10.32
4. Ron XB2003/225--------------------------------11.90
5. Gordon XB2003/200XS---------------------------------------11.44
6. John Y. XB2003/175/OMC------------------------------------10.22
7. Allen XB2003/225-------------------------------13.00
The first year Ron won by a long shot… and he will be back this year.
The following year Neil won with a 200XS, but John Young was right on him with a 175!

If I put the 225 drop-on back on an add 200 lbs (Larry Schow can ride with me) can I run in this class. :smile
