That describes my boat to a "T" LOL

I will never see trips out of my XB2002 in its current state and it really doesn't bother me. There is more than speed that I love about Allison boats.

I will never see trips either.

Pretty sure it takes a 245/260/280 to get a xb2003 to trips "safely" and extra compression and even higher limiters are helpful from what I read.

Here's one for you......
The other day, had the XTB21 out fishing & tested what speed it would do before falling off plane...... 12.6 mph - on plane because at 12.4, she started sinking into the water.
It was amazing and cool how "SLOW" you can go in an Allison !!!!! What a GREAT Fishing boat !!!!

1/2 way between the Gay Bay and LA.
Borrow someones 300 drag, bolt it on, go to the lake make one pass, unbolt it and give it back. Sell boat.
Then forever want it back.

I'm assuming you mean triple digits.

I agree..

Empty you could hit a 100 with a 260/280. It would have to be set up right, and a great prop. Marty has ran 99.? With a 260. Ed deer has ran 99.? With a 280. Not with a fishing load tho.

Without a lip I think the 03 will run faster. Chad202 has proven that.

Hard to run that fast with a fishing load.. I have a 2002 comp, and when the drag was on it I could run 100 with 2 guys, and a fishing load. I have at least 330 hp tho. Takes A lot.......
108 with 2 people cooler full tank of gas, tools... No extra batteries, or troller.

A 100 mph is fast loaded or not.. Most people never hit those speeds with bass boats period...

A 300x with some set up time will do it...JMO

Thats what I'm talking about!! Go for it, 100mph is my goal one day, but I never imagined doing it with a fishing load.

It doesn't have to be loaded to fish at 100, just curious as to what it would take to hit that loaded also, didn't know if a 280 was enough motor for that or not.

Boats been 94 empty with my little punk motor, thought with a very light fishing load a 280 could do it?? Not my normal 1000lb of extra crap tourney load though

Troller, 4 rods and a few plano's type fishing load.

My XB2003 with 280 ran over 100 pretty easily with my son Matt driving it. He hasn't tried but just a few times and we are both sure there's a few more mph's there if he gets up the courage to do it and I get the courage to watch him...........LOL

Didn't Yellar hit 107 with his XB2003/280? Doubt that speed was with much of a load. That was forever ago and I don't remember the specifics.

LOL!!!! funny you say that. I had written: "I doubt that speed was with much of a load except for him sitting behind the wheel" but I changed it to be nice...

Chad hit 107 too with his "warmed up" 260 but that was after he sanded off his lip so it doesn't count.............:laughing:laughing:laughing

Set up set up and more set up... It is possible with a 260. While I do not have a XB 2003 fishing boat, the GSE is the same bottom (almost exact) The GSE has a full deck and flared up mock windshield. Plus a lot more free board on the boat, which punches a much bigger hole thru the air than the 2003 XB. With my normal pleasure boat load (a ton of ****) and cooler and three 200 lb. guys in the boat it will bust a hundred. Same load with two people runs 104-105 all day. Granted you need some power but set up is the KEY !!!!
