Yeah I just picked up a 30 pitch Drag 3 that I hope to run here in a few weeks once I get the boat back. Robbie is cutting my chopper 2 (28) for me and that will be my best all around prop I'm sure.
94 is moving pretty good! I bet there are a few more mph left in it though.:wink
Your going to like the 30 Drag3. Runs pretty much perfict the way it should. My 28 Drag3 I like alot. Real good midrange for a 28 and not all to bad out of the hole. Top end is as per pitch with great manners.
If ya ever get a chance to try a 26 off shore cut from a Mazco re3 youll love it with higher revs. Makes me wonder what a 26 Drag3 might be like in comparessin. Didnt like the Stock et at all on my GS. Not enough lift with a 225 on a GS. Maybe worked with a little cup I dont know? Chopper11,s work just fine but like the drag3 a little better out of the hole and midrange in stock form. Top ends were the same right at 90 in a 28. Gota get my hands on a 30 hoss Triton one of these days. Snowing today but hope to get out a few more times yet.
My favorite prop ever was a Hackney 26 drag 3 blade on my old Grandsport with the 260 that Marty built for me. Man that thing was a rocket... that's the only thing I miss about the 225. Just doesn't have that killer pull to it like a strong 260.Your going to like the 30 Drag3. Runs pretty much perfict the way it should. My 28 Drag3 I like alot. Real good midrange for a 28 and not all to bad out of the hole. Top end is as per pitch with great manners.

-3C right now tonight. So about 27F or so. Warms up to around 45F daytime though. Right balmy. Leaves are all pretty much off the trees but still lots of color in the mountains and by the lakes.Whipper the last two days have been HOT 108 and 106. Right now snow sounds good! Tomorrow sposed tobe 86.
Thats why. Ya let a little drain so its not right full most lickely. ive also gone longer than recomended with no issues. Now had i filled to the drain and tryed not to loose any we might not fare so well?Changed my gear oil for the first time this year a few days ago. I usually fill it till it blows out the top, take my time putting the drain plug in so it drains out some and it's good to go, never had a problem. It's not rocket science.
What sort of fine would CA give you if you would have killed it????Actually I was on the freeway and almost ran over it.
