    allison fuel tank gauges

I installed the Livorsi, "tube type" sender in my 2003. Just called Livorsi and gave them the depth of the tank and they cut the tube spot on and set the low level adjustment. I had to pull the old sender, install the new sender, attach the two wires, fill the tank and set the high level...

How Much HP Can Be Made

Badbait, Talk to Al Stoker about the V4 OMC's that fit in your class of less than 99 c.i. They will turn it up; and now with Brucato's fuel injection setup, ought to live too. BTW, Tony B. is running a V4 OMC so he has "real world" experience. froggy

real close on a ally drag

Suicide, You can wet sand the painted stripes down to the gel. It involves work but it's very do-able. We did it on a painted XR 2002 and it looks factory new. Darris builds em with a nice thick gel coat so don't worry about going through it anywhere but at the sharp edges. froggy

    Spun a flo torque hub

You can get a metal hub for either the 1" shaft or the 1.25" shaft. The plastic hubs are not very durable and exhaust heat deteriorates them quickly. froggy

    driveshaft twist

Run your engine full throttle in REVERSE, while your boat is in the water! If that doesn't straighten out the twist, at least you'll experience something most of us never want to do (he,he,he)! Seriously, you may want to inspect the driveshaft closely---especially at the rear bearing. If...

My first couple times out by myself.

Yes, your pictured prop is a CLEAVER not a Chopper. Since the cleaver is a surface piercing prop, you'd be better served at a higher engine height. Good running by the way. froggy

    ECU Question

John, I suggest you Email a copy of your final post to Tony Brucato---he should have a good idea of what's wrong. It sure sounds like PCU/ECU problem since you already replaced the trigger. Try to find a voltage, at the trigger, when you are cranking the engine with the sparkplugs out...

    24 pitch chopper

KDawg, If you have the $$$$, I'd recommend ordering a real Hoss, 4 blade, Hyperdrive in 24 pitch. The blades are very thick and not likely to give you any problems plus the handling and acceleration will be superb. Just my $.02 froggy

    Gas guage flaking out

I ordered a, no moving parts" replacement sender, direct, from Livorsi. I provided the depth of the gas tank to them while on the phone ordering. Livorsi had the unit cut to size when it arrived exactly THREE Days Later. The unit I ordered was a two wire, direct replacement. What an...

    86 XTB prop help

Yammi drag if you want no lift and like to run slick to water! Big ear chopper (the new ones) or an older big ear (the one with weed cutters) worked by Hoss. My XTB-21 would run 81 mph with a STOCK 1985, 2.4 liter, 200HP. That's with two fishermen and too much tackle! Go get-um. froggy

There is a Storm on the Horizon...

One more thing about the timed Kilo---you usually only have about a kilo to get to speed before you trip the start timer. With those huge size props, on a huge boat, it is doubtful the boat would be to speed before tripping the start timer! Been there, done that and my hat's off to SHOOK...
